Antique foot-operated bellows mechanism (1) produced by Buffalo Dental Mfg. Co. of Buffalo, N.Y. Constructed with hinged wooden boards housing an interior wire coil spring, the unit includes a round port hole with a valve flap, a curved dark metal foot treadle lever attached at the top, and an angled metal support leg positioned underneath. A patinated brass or bronze component bears stamped lettering identifying the maker as Buffalo Dental Mfg. Co., Buffalo N.Y.
