Antique monochrome crayon or charcoal portrait depicting a young man with neatly parted hair, attired in a dark jacket, collared shirt, and bow tie. Executed on paper or cardboard, the composition conveys a solemn, contemplative presence through soft tonal modeling and delicate gradations across the subject's face. The work is mounted behind glass in a deep, multi-layered wood frame accented with molded gilt floral bands and an inner beaded border, measuring 27 x 31 inches.
