Framed oil on canvas painting signed "HANDELL" in dark capital lettering, depicting a nocturnal coastal landscape measuring 32 x 40 inches. The composition portrays a figure seated in a horse-drawn hooded buggy navigating a sandy shore beneath striated cloud cover and an illuminated full moon. A stark, bare tree and a diagonally striped sign anchor the setting, while underlying preliminary sketch lines beneath the wheels and cast shadows document the developmental stages and execution of the artist's draftsmanship. The stretched canvas is secured to wooden stretcher bars and presented in a molded dark wood frame accented with a gold-tone inner bevel.
