Three antique wooden cotton and wool hand carders manufactured by L. S. Watson & Co. in Leicester, Massachusetts. Each tool consists of a flat rectangular wooden paddle board fitted with an attached cylindrical turned wooden handle secured with small fasteners. The working faces are fitted with fine wire carding teeth mounted on a dark pad lined with reddish border strips secured by small tacks. Stamped with maker markings reading, "THE ONLY GENUINE OLD WHITTEMORE PATENT IMPROVED NO 10 COTTON L. S. WATSON & CO. LEICESTER, MASS."
